Static characterization A/D and D/A converters

This article is about static analysis of A/D and D/A converters. This test method is based on applying an (accurate) input signal to the converter and capture the conversion results. For ADC analysis the input signal should be accurate and known analog ramp signal.

For DAC analysis the input signal should be a digital ramp signal. The DAC parameter calculations can be found in chapter 3. DAC parameter calculations.
